TIS THE SEASON

SCALLOP MIX LACE BODYCON DRESS, £39, TOPSHOP

You got it, it's party season, and for many people out there they sigh at the prospect of having to battle with the hussle and bussle of crazy christmas shoppers on the high street all looking for the perfect party dress. However, as you're reading a fashion blog, i'm guessing you're just as excited as I am!

Today I found the one. That love at first sight moment when you know you've found the perfect party dress to take you through the entire christmas season. We're talking work do's, catch up cocktails, christmas day, boxing day and NYE. I chose the Topshop scallop mix lace bodycon dress as firstly, its £39 + student discount = total bargain. It also has the most beautiful lace detailing and is a perfect fit... cinderella moment and all that.... and it's my absolute favourite colour- but don't worry, if burgundy isn't for you it comes in more than one colour!

Have you found the one? Let me know!

OOTD: CHRISTENING

Cross back slip dress, £29, Topshop
Just a quick OOTD post to feature the absolutely lovely and versatile slip dress I wore for my nephews christening on Saturday. Ok so I didn't actually get a full length shot of this dress on the day, which is helpful, but hey ho i recycled this outfit from my boyfriends graduation back in July so there you go!
I don't know about you, but as soon as I was invited to the christening panic set in, what on earth are you supposed to wear? It was a family occasion, so nothing too revealing, its a special occasion yet nothing too fancy would be appropriate, and also a religious celebration so nothing OTT. great.
I don't think Topshop still sell the dress in this colour, but they do have ones similar. I like to think of it as a long cami... it didn't really look right on me with it having such a straight up and down shape, i tend to prefer something a bit more fitted. So, i found an old chiffon belt from a playsuit i wore 9534594754 years ago and used it to sinch in the waist of my dress, sorted!
Bad news, i clicked the dress in 3 places, HELP?!

BLOGMAS #8- CHRISTMAS DAY OUTFIT

I don't know about you, but a new Christmassy outfit for Christmas Day is a must have... The more sparkles, the better!

My dress this year is a beautiful midi dress covered in sparkles, it comes in both green and white but I had to have white... Being the monochrome girl I am I just had to have it!

At £49 the tinsel wrap a line dress by Topshop is a little pricey for a 1 day outfit, however with your student discount it works out a little cheaper!

Although I am currently on the hunt for a Christmas party outfit for work, I wouldn't wear this, however time is slipping away and my party is next Friday!!! If you have any suggestions do let me know!

What are you wearing this party season? Leave me a comment below! :)

My Freshers Outfits!

Just a quick post as I thought that I would share with you the outfits that I wore for freshers week! Honestly, I never ever make an effort for nights out, my last freshers literally consisted of wearing disco pants and a cami so after buying so much new stuff this summer, I decided to actually make an effort this year!
I have to admit, I am the worst when it comes to buying nice clothes, it's like I just want to preserve them, I'm literally just so scared of some idiot spilling a drink on me or something getting dirty! So yeah, I end up just wearing the same things over and over because all of my nice bits and bobs are safe in my wardrobe!

Outfit 1: Dogtooth skirt- £22- Topshop/ Shoe ankle boots- £29.99- New Look/ Mesh crop top (part of a set)- £30- Stylish

Outfit 2: Off the shoulder black mini dress- £9.99- Missguided/ Ankle cut out boots- £35- ARK

Outfit 3: Lace bralet- £22- Topshop/ Velvet A-line skirt- £32- Topshop/ Cut out ankle boots- £35- ARK

If you were wondering, the reason why I only have 3 outfits is because I mixed and matched the rest of the week hehe, what is your fave night out outfit? Did you go to freshers? What did you wear? Leave me a comment below! :)

Laundry Boutique

* AX Paris Textured Rose Skater Dress- £26- Laundry Boutique

I really was overjoyed when my A X Paris summer dress arrived from Laundry Boutique, the dress was beautifully wrapped in blue tissue paper and enclosed a kind note hoping I would enjoy my new dress, and I must say, I really am!

There is no denying that florals are a huge summer trend year by year, and this dress really is a great investment, its diversity is fabulous! When contemplating when I could wear this dress I came up with a few occassions, ever wondered what on earth to wear to that wedding? This casual summer dress teamed with some heels will work wonderfully, that summer barbeque? Add some wedges or sandals, shopping day? Bring out the JUJU jellies, there really is no limit to how you can wear this dress and I decided I would wear it for a meal and drinks with friends, slipping on a pair of heels and a belt to sinch in the waist.

I particularly love how this dress is such high quality for the mere £26 price tag, the dress itself is textured which I have found works wonderfully if its a windy day and it doesn't leave you with an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction as it is thicker and a little heavier than a light floaty material. The print is also very summery and will never be out dated, and the cut out back takes the dress from a casual day dress to an evening or special occasion dress, absolutely love it!

As for Laundry Boutique they are a ladies fashion boutique online, and they also have stores in Chiswick, Altrincham, Stockton Heath and Chester, unfortunately living in Leeds I can only buy online! The array of clothes, shoes and accessories is so lovely and I literally have a wish list to fulfil, including; 2 skirts, a cami and a fluffy jumper. If like me you have visited the site and would like order a few bits and pieces you can use this unique discount code at the checkout by using the code: DREAMLOVELIVE10 to receive 10% OFF YOUR ORDER!

Don't forget, you can find Laundry Boutique online, Facebook or on Twitter and you can also find their independent accounts to keep up with latest news from your local Laundry Boutique store! What do you think of my outfit? Have you found anything in particular you love from Laundry Boutique? Leave me a comment below! :)
