NEW HAIR DAY

NEW HAIR DAY
Ok I finally took the leap. I got my hair cut. Am I the only girl who really doesn't like going to the hair dressers? I just never feel satisfied when I come out and instantly want to re-style it myself.
However since it has been way to long since my last hair cut- I wont be spilling the beans on this! I decided to go and get myself a trim, thankfully I was surprised to only need half an inch of, which considering my worshipping of GHD's was a miracle.
I have been in the process of growing my full fridge out since May (I had a side fringe before this), and since it got to an awkward length I decide to try bangs... the verdict? I love it.
I visited my local salon on Saturday Hair Haus in Bishop Auckland, I have been going there since I was very young so why break the habit of a lifetime?! It is fab in there and has such a good atmosphere, the staff are lovely, their facilities are great and the products they use literally transform my untameable frizzy hair... and at £29 for a wash, cut and blow dry I was pleasantly surprised to find that I didn't even need to wash my hair for 3 days after!... don't judge me.
One of the products they used on my hair was the Loreal SteamPod a new innovative straightening and smoothing iron which uses Keratin to repair hair as well as minimizing heat damage, if you haven't tried this then you seriously need to asap, I struggle massively with frizzy hair and I was pleased to find that my hair stayed smooth and poker straight for 4 days, even in the rain. I know what's going straight to the top of my Christmas list...
However I have found that bangs are an absolute nightmare to manage, how to you sleep without waking up with it stuck up all over the place? How do you correct them on a windy day? How do you stop oil from your skin making them greasy? Also how do you avoid comments about having 'curtains'.... i'ts a struggle and they are very high maintenance!!! If anyone has any tips send them in my direction....

Mini Boots Haul
Just a quick post to share with you my latest mini Boots haul! I dont know what has gotten into me recently, I usually buy all of my cosmetics and beauty products from discount retailers such as bodycare, savers or Superdrug, but lately I have literally become obsessed with collecting Boots points! I have also become absolutely obssessed with trying new products which will help to improve my skin and hair as I'm trying to take more care of myself!
Anyway as I said it's just a little haul post but here are some of the cosmetics and beauty products I bought!
LEE STAFFORD HAIR GROWTH TREATMENT-£8.49-BOOTS
Although I have no idea if this actually makes your hair grow or not, considering I have been using it every wash for 2 weeks and seen no difference, I would say that it is absolutely perfect for making your hair smell absolutely amazing even days after you washed it! It also leaves your hair feeling silky smooth and soft, definitely give this one a try!
RIMMEL LONDON MOISTURE RENEW LIPSTICK 'VINTAGE PINK'- £6.49- BOOTS
I did a review of this in a previous post if you fancy a look! This lipstick is perfect for making your lips feel soft and supple, and although I am more of a fan of lip balm, I did love using this lipstick as it adds a little colour that is different to your average pink lippy!
GARNIER MOISTURE MATTE 'SHINE BE GONE' MOISTURISER- £3.99-BOOTS
I am such a fan of this moisturiser because the only thing that I hate about moisturisers is that my skin always feels greasy afterwards and I find it difficult to apply my makeup afterwards as it goes slimy! However this one creates a matte finish and ensures you stay shine free all day which is helpful if you can suffer from oily skin at times like me.
NEUTROGENA BLACKHEAD ELIMINATING CLEANSING LOTION-£3.99- BOOTS
Although I haven't noticed any visible difference at the moment, because I have only been using it for a couple of weeks, I would say it is very good at removing any little bits of dirt from your skin or makeup residue that your makeup remover may have missed. The only thing I would say is that it is very strong so keep it away from your delicate eye area.
TED BAKER BODY SPRAY-£2.50-BOOTS
I have been using this body spray for so long as I always used to get it in gift sets for Christmas, it is the perfect handbag essential and smells absolutely beautiful!
CAREX SENSITIVE HAND GEL- £1.45- BOOTS
This is my number one hand bag essential, I can't live without it, I am such an OCD when it comes to germs and you can never be too careful when getting trains, tubes and buses so I always make sure I have some hand sanitiser on me at all times!
Since I bought these bits and bobs I have bought a few more products, you can see the rest in my very first YouTube video here-

OSMO Hair Products
*For many years I have had the terrible habit of straightening my hair nearly every day, unfortunately I have such thick and frizzy unruly hair! So when I was offered hair products by OSMO, from their salon professional range I was very excited to try their products designed for taming the hair and leaving it silky soft and frizz free.
From my experience so far, I have found all of the products work really well, apart from the straighten up 3 spray, as although it smells lovely, I don't think it does leave your hair straight for 3 days, unlike other hair products I have bought on the high street. However, if you are looking to improve the smoothness and silkiness of you hair and tame the frizz In this cold weather, I definitely reccomend you give these products a go! One thing I would say about these products is that they smell divine, they are such high quality and do exactly what they are supposed too. Also I would say that although with some hair products I find can be a bit slimy or claggy, leaving your hair feeling caked with product and greasy, these products are super light and easy to apply.
Make sure you check out the OSMO website at osmo.uk.com to find which products will be most suitable for your hair type, they have so many you're bound to find something perfect for you! Here is a list of the products I received:
OSMO THERMAL DEFENCE, £4.50
Works by protecting the hair from heated hair stylers, limiting the damage done to your hair and prevents dryness and split ends which leads to frizz!
OSMO BLINDING SHINE HAIR SERUM, £8.28
Perfect for taming straight or curly hair, this oil is really light on the hair, simply apply a few squirts to the mid length and ends of the hair. Although it's a little pricey compared to high street alternatives this works so well and really does keep your hair frizz free throughout the day, no matter what weather.
OSMO INTENSIVE DEEP REPAIR MASK £2.95
Cheap and cheerful, the deep repair mask is designed to repair damaged hair, which mines definitely is unfortunately, although I can't see any immediate effect right now hopefully I will see a change in the next couple of weeks, simply apply after washing your hair and rinse!
OSMO STRAIGHTEN UP 3 £9.99
This was my favourite of the products as it smells lovely and your hair feels super soft, use after washing combined with the hair serum, and then it is activated by heat from your dryer and styler. The only thing I would say is that it doesn't do what it says it will, my hair definitely didn't stay straight for 3 days.If you would like to try these products you can find them at osmo.uk.com or amazon.co.uk. Do you use similar products? Have you tried Osmo before? Leave me a comment below!

#Blogmas Day 5| #AnabellesWigsChallenge
*When I found out about this challenge I just had to get involved! #AnabellesWigsChallenge basically requires you to style your Anabelle hair piece in three different ways! One of things I dislike the most about myself is my hair, I just can't get it to grow so this hair piece was absolutely perfect for me!
Annabelle's Wigs are a hair company based in the UK who aims to stay ahead of fashion trends. Celebs such as Adele, The Saturdays, Amy Childs, Pixie Lott, Kelly Osbourne and
Katie Price are just some of those who have been spotted wearing Annabelle’s wigs hair pieces.
Their range consists of 1/2 or 3/4 hair pieces and they are so easy to wear, literally you clip them in and your done! The quality of the hair pieces are also fantastic... from somebody who spent £70 on hair extensions a few years ago which turned out to rubbish quality, I didn't expect much from this one for just £29.99 but I was pleasantly surprised. Although you cannot use heat on them, they are already perfectly styled and you can buy them in whatever style you like! I chose Daisy which is loose curls I would say with layers and is a 3/4 hair piece. You can find the whole range at http://www.annabelleswigs.co.uk/.
So, it's time for the challenge! I decided to style mine in my 3 favourite hairstyles; the big ponytail, to the side and also big bouncy curls. The hair is so easy to play around with, and the hair is so glossy and life like, this is literally my dream hair! Although there can be issues with matching the hair piece colour to your own hair, I sent a picture and they colour matched me perfectly, could not be happier!

Although this style is not something I would wear daytime as it is very big and thick, it is perfect for special occasions or a night out! :)
