With Christmas fast approaching it is certainly time to think about preparing for the big day! For me, Christmas is almost all about the build up, who doesn't enjoy cosy nights by the Christmas tree? At home I just love creating that festive atmosphere, with just a few special touches, your home will be prepped in no time...

The mood board above represents Christmas indulgence. We all over indulge on food, wine, chocolate... and presents, so why not indulge your home? Here I have included a few festive pieces that you can use to bring your home to life this Christmas, from stockists such as House of Fraser, Next, Marks & Spencer and Laura Ashley.

Some of my favourite pieces from House of Fraser in particular include the snow dusted wreath, mercury heart glass decoration and white Christmas botanical candle- you can find their full Christmas range HERE.  I also love the array of Next home furnishings and Yankee's must have scented candles. Whether you want to fill the air with a festive scent, add comfort to your home with some decorative home furnishings, add some intricate table details or hang a wreath of pine cones and berries to your door, its time to start making those extra special touches this Christmas...

LONG WEEKEND IN PICTURES

Just a quick little post I thought I would share....my weekend in pictures, thankfully I also had Friday and Monday off work too! Although now I have no more holidays to take till Christmas, boooo.

Anyway, I spent my Thursday evening at the fireworks in Hyde Park- Leeds, I don't know about you but I love firework displays, there was no way I was missing out this bonfire night! I then made the most of my Friday and headed to York. York is one of my most favourite places, so beautiful and unique. Following a day shopping- in particular 'The Cat Gallery', 'Christmas angels' and 'The Disney Store'... starting to get an idea of the type of person I am?!... me and my boyfriend took a stroll in the park before heading home- I just loved how autumnal it looked!

Saturday was a bad day for my bank balance- while back in Leeds I managed to bag myself some  River Island winter boots, the most perfect Topshop Christmas pyjamas , some new New Look basic tops, jeans... and not to mention my binge in Victoria's Secret...

Sunday was more chilled and I went to the cinema to see Hotel Transylvania 2... as cheesy as it sounds I just love kids films, so good. Monday was not a good day with just a dentist visit on my day off :(

What did you all get up too? Leave me a comment below! :)

A/W15 BOOTS ROUND UP

 (Left to right)
Black metal block heel ankle boots, £29.99, New Look
Black cleated platform over the knee boots, £70, River Island
River Island suade peep toe block heeled boots, £60, ASOS
Black chunky ankle boots, £40, River Island
Black suadette chunky block heel ankle boots, £29.99, New Look
Black cleated sole ankle boots, £45, River Island
El Paso western studded ankle boots, £55, ASOS
Tan high heel ankle boots by KG Kurt Geiger, £160, Topshop

I've decided that now we are fully into the Autumn season now- how is it November 2nd already?... it is definitely time to ditch the peep toe shoe boots, and trade them in for some more practical and warm winter boots.

I have the same problem every year- there just seems to be boots everywhere now, too much choice! So I have wittled down some of my favourite picks for this post, as you can see there is clearly a recurring theme of black heeled ankle boots... for those who know me, you will know I cannot live without my heels! I really love the suadette and tassle trend too, not to mention the beautiful tan colours that are out there. I would also like to point out the star studs on these El Paso boots, they are fab!

River Island, ASOS, Topshop and New Look all have a wide variety of winter boots at an extremely affordable price. My go to place is always New Look who tend to have high quality boots for just £30, similarly River Island have some priced between £40-£50.

Do you have any recommendations of anywhere with a good selection? Have you just purchased your winter boots? Leave me a comment below! :)
