Colour Popping & Prints!

If this style post doesn't get you in the mood for summer then I don't know what will! This season is all about colour popping and wearing bold, tropical, floral and art prints. So I have selected a few of the bits and pieces which have caught my eye, from stores including Topshop, Accessorize, French Connection, Oasis, River Island and Zara, but you will not be able to avoid bumping into this trend on the high street right now. The most exciting aspect of this trend is that you can wear it in any way that you want too, whether you want to wear a tropical two piece, bold top or colour pop skirt you can have a lot of fun playing around with it until you find something that is right for you! If you would like to carry off the trend in a more subtle way, you can accessorize your outfits with a cute clutch, bright blazer or some colourful statement jewellery ! Below are some of the favourite pieces which I have found, in particular I love the floral skirt, statement necklaces and flower clutch and peter pan collar lemon dress. What do you think of this trend? :)

Bikini lust list

It always gets to around this time of year, its heading towards Summer and the weather is starting to get warmer and sunnier, and I start to think about possible additions to my Summer wardrobe! Today in particular I have started to look at bikinis, in the past I will admit that I have been known to actually buy a bikini even though I wasn't going to be going on holiday, or anywhere even near water for that matter, however this year I may actually go on holiday, fingers crossed! So, I noticed today that the sheer amount of bikinis to choose from out there is massive, there is certainly a bikini for every one out there, unfortunately you may be spending a while searching for the perfect one. I myself have come to realise that the type of bikini I tend to go for have tie string bottoms, padded top and are practically anything girly... if you have read my recent buys post you will see I have already purchased the blue bell frill bikini from Topshop (below), and have continued to compile a list of my other faves! There are a few current trends in bikini collections at the moment aside from the traditional one block colour halter-neck bikini, including; frill tops, high waist, bold prints, pastels, gingham and tropical prints are all over at the moment, however I think that the number one rule of buying a bikini should be whether you feel comfortable wearing it, it's bad enough basically walking around in your bra and nickers without feeling self conscious that your bikini bottoms are too tight on your hips or your boob keeps popping out of a bikini top that is too small, right? What do you think of my lust list? What type of bikini do you love the most? Leave me a comment below! :)
1. Seekers halter top bikini set with frill detail- £22- ASOS
2. Botanic bamboo print bikini- £36- Topshop
3. Pink floral high waist bikini- £34- Topshop
4. Bluebell frill crop bikini top- £14- Topshop
5. Mint scallop bikini- £30- Topshop
6. Light pink scallop frill bandeau bikini top- £15- River Island
7. Light pink scallop frill bikini bottoms- £10- River Island
8. Bluebell tieside bikini pants- £8- Topshop
9. Raspberry gingham frill bikini- £30- Topshop

Topshop Wish List

Usually when I create my wish lists I tend to include bits and pieces from all over the place, however as most of the things I really want at the moment are from Topshop, I thought it was probably more suitable to make it a Topshop wish list. If I am honest Topshop is probably my favourite place on the high street to buy my clothes and accessories as it never ever fails to have what I want, I also love how the fashion in Topshop is constantly changing, it just seems like every time I go in store there is something new! Most of the items on this weeks wish list are the future additions I will be making to my wardrobe for summer, for some reason, although I do a little haul for summer every year, I tend to end up getting to the next summer and just think ''oh my gosh, I literally have nothing to wear''...okay so I probably have a lot of things suitable to wear but there isn't any harm in updating is there?! There are also a couple of accessories in this post including an "invisibobble", I would love to know if any of you have tried this? Also there are a pair of jeans, I have never owned Topshop jeans I tend to go to River Island or New Look to get mine, what do you think of them? What is on your wish list? :)

The Beauty Blogger Tag

As you know although I am mainly a fashion blogger, I do love to do beauty posts and I have kindly been nominated by Shannon from Shannon Darko to do the beauty blogger tag, I just love doing posts like this it is so interesting seeing which other bloggers are out there and getting to know a little more about them, so here is my post!

Why did you start blogging and how long have you been blogging for?
I will be honest, I first started my blog because at the time I was applying for university and wanted to do a media or journalism course, and I thought that good evidence of my enthusiasm and interest could be a blog. That went out the window when I apply for marketing and advertising management instead but I found that I really loved blogging, I have always been a reader of other peoples blogs for a long time and had always wanted to start a blog and finally started it 2 years ago :)

Whose blog did you fall in love with first?

To be honest I had two  favourite blogs which I fell in love with first, firstly A Yellow Brick Blog which is an amazing beauty blog, and secondly Zoella, who doesn't love her beauty, fashion and general life posts?! I genuinely wish I could have a blog as great as hers one day!

What was the first blogosphere hyped about product that you bought? Was it worth the hype?

Although I desperately try not to spent all of my money on buying into the hype, I must admit that I just can't resist sometimes, I guess if they have the hype they could be great right?! The first product that I bought was an EOS lip balm, YES it was 100% worth the hype, I take it everywhere with me, the shape of the balm, the scent and the different colours are just amazing, I want one of every colour! Plus they leave your lips feeling gorgeous.

What are your five favourite things about blogging and being a beauty blogger?

1. It's my personal space to be creative and to write about everything I love!
2. Interacting with other bloggers is a great way to make friends in the blogosphere
3. It is always great to keep up with what other bloggers are loving and what is popular
4. I enjoy looking back through the weeks, months and years of blogging and taking a look back at my memories, (as well as cringing at some of my older posts)
5. I can talk forever about fashion and beauty and have people actually care and be interested in what I am saying!

What have you learnt from being a Beauty Blogger?

The importance of skincare. I never really realised all the different products out there which really can help to look after your skin, it's also fun to play about with all the different products out there which I didn't really ever think about before.

Have you changed anything since becoming a Beauty Blogger?

I take photos of absolutely anything I can blog about, and have several versions of that photo till I get something perfect.

What advice would you give to a Beauty Blogger just starting out?

Talk to people! It really is so important to make blogger friends, you can do this by commenting on other peoples blogs and through joining blogger Twitter chats, these are perfect for getting to know other bloggers and for getting your blog noticed!

What are your top 5 make- up brands?

Rimmel London, Maybelline, MAC, Benefit & Urban Decay

Recommend your top 5 beauty products

1. Rimmel London 24 hour lasting finish foundation
2. Benefit brow zings brow shaping kit
3. EOS lip balm
4. MAC "Rebel" satin lipstick & "Crème Cup" cremesheen lipstick
5. Rimmel London stay matte powder

St George's Day!

Okay, so for those of you that might not be aware, today is St George's Day! Basically it is  the national day and public holiday for England. As with other public holidays, I thought I might as well see what clothing and accessories could be put together to follow the theme of the day, so today I thought I would do a St George's Day inspired style post. I have found a selection of red and white bits and pieces that can be put together to make a little English inspired outfit (the colours of the English flag), so if you like playing around with your outfits I hope you enjoy this post! Personally, I am wearing white today, which for those that know me isn't really that surprising, but it still counts! What do you think of my choices? Have a good day! :)

SHEER

Firstly, I am so glad to be back, my lack of blogging this week has honestly been down to the fact that I have been on holiday in Scotland, and could not get barely any phone signal, never mind internet to create some posts, luckily I had a couple of pre- prepared posts that I could publish! Anyway, I thought I would do a little post on one of the biggest trends right now, sheer. There will be some people who will dislike this trend because "sheer" obviously means see- through, meaning you do have flesh on show depending on what style you opt for. However, the more daring of you all might even go the whole way and opt for sheer skirts, shirts and shorts, gorgeous! Sheer was all over the catwalk this season and now thankfully we can all now find it in high street stores too, it is such a great trend to play around with and is so suitable for spring and summer! So, I have tried to compile a selection of sheer clothing, from minimal sheer panels in shirts and skirts to sheer shirts and dresses. My personal favourites are the shirts with sheer panels, which you can wear for so many different occasions and the dresses, which look simply beautiful. What do you think of the trend? How will you be wearing sheer? :)
1. Black sheer insert shift dress- £15- River Island
2. Lavish Alice sleeveless shirt with sheer panel- £28- ASOS

5. Double agent dress with sheer panel by Jovonna- £55- Topshop
6. Light pink organza overlay prom dress- £70- River Island
7. Black lace insert slip dress- £15- River Island
8. Petite sheer stripe jumper- £36- Topshop

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter guys! I really am a fan of Easter, even though if I am honest I'm not really a big chocolate fan... is that weird? Well anyway I hope you all have had a great Easter, and to get into the spirit of the day I have found a selection of Easter themed clothing and accessories, in particular I love the bunny ear scrunchie and I really love the look of the "speckled eggs" Models Own nail varnish, I just love chocolate mini eggs and I am so desperate to try these inspired nail polishes, only problem is I am not sure which colour I want yet, they all look so amazing! Also the bunny onesie just looks too comfortable and so cosy! If you don't fancy going the whole way with a rabbit print dress or t-shirt, then these Easter inspired accessories will be a perfect, subtle inspiration to add to your outfit, whether it be chick socks, bunny ear bag, scrunchie or jewellery. What do you think of my Easter finds? :)

Spring Nails| Berry Ice Cream & Silver Fox

There comes a time when a girl must change their nail varnish colour, and seen as I am very much into pastels at the moment and feeling ready for Spring, I thought I would go for a lilac colour! Me being me, I thought I would also opt for a touch of glitter to put as the top coat. The nail varnishes I used are firstly, a Barry M lilac polish (berry ice cream) and a Models Own glitter polish (silver fox) to and a little sparkle to my nails! I tend to use these two nail polish brands as although I love brands such as ESSIE, Nails Inc and Sally Hansen I can't really afford them, as Barry M polishes are priced at a mere £2.99 and Models Own at £5, they have wide range of nail polishes at such a low price! What is your favourite brand of nail polish? :)

Glamour shopping event & Glossybox!

I always get excited when shopping centres hold discount events or student lockin's, I seriously need bargains! Last week a "Ladies Shopping Night" was held at the Trinity shopping centre in Leeds, in association with Glamour.com, so of course I had to go. Not only were there some really great discounts and offers to be snapped up, but there were pamper lounges, and many competitions and freebies. One of which was a giant wheel spin, in which you got to pick an envelope which enclosed a prize, I won a lovely No7 "High Shine" SPF 15 (Shade Whisper) worth £10, which leaves a lovely shimmer on your lips, and my friend won a £10 gift card for Primark, not bad! Another amazing offer on the night was depending on how much you spend, you were treated with either; Pick 'n' Mix, a cocktail, Lindt chocolates and a beauty bag, or a £10 Trinity Leeds gift card! Since I bought some £52 shoes, I got some Lindt chocolates and a Glossybox for free! The box which can be subscribed to for just £10 per month,  includes 5 products and a product description guide, it is just perfect for beauty lovers. My box included Mitchell And Peach body cream, which is made with honey, organic cocoa and shea butter (smells divine), Helenere age sensitive zone repair serum, Dove hair therapy 60 second treatment shot intensive repair for damaged hair, bella pierre cosmetics gold eye shadow (shade Oblivious SP037) and finally my favourite; Sleek  Make Up Pout Polish SPF15 Tinted Lip Conditioner (shade Bare Minimum 963). Not only is the box filled with different products and delivered to you every month for just £10, but the box itself is beautiful and is filled with tissue paper and ribbon, I am seriously considering signing up! What do you think? Do you receive Glossybox? :)

This Week's Buys!

Ok, so this was just a little bit naughty of me. For somebody who literally has no money at the moment, and is yet to actually book a summer holiday, I spent a tad too much money this week on clothes, shoes and accessories, justified by "oh yeah this will be totally suitable for holiday" or "hmm this could possibly go out of stock, I best buy it now"... So yep, my bank balance took a bit of a battering this week. I bought a bikini from Topshop which I have had my beady eye on for quite some weeks now, the colour really isn't justified by the pictures, it is sort of a blue/ purple colour, I just love the design of the top, I am such a fan of frilly bikini's at the moment! A second visit to Topshop this week unfortunately meant that I succumbed to Topshop sale, and bought this matching cubic zirconia necklace and earring set, I am such a girly girl who loves all things sparkles so I just had to have these love heart earrings, I will admit however that the love heart necklace was bought as part of a bet with my boyfriend who was convinced that the 1/2 sticker meant the necklace would be £2.25 not £5.50, of course he was wrong and I was right, plus I got a necklace courtesy of him out of it! I have already told you about my visit to the shopping centre discount event, and yet again, I had my eye on these nude pink patent leather loafers for quite a few weeks, and used the 20% Office discount and the prospect of getting free Lindt chocolates and Glossybox for spending £50 as an excuse to buy these gorgeous shoes, much to the disapproval of my boyfriend. Finally, I  got myself some jelly shoes. I really love that these shoes are a major trend at the moment, I had seen some in Office, Topshop, ARK, River Island and ASOS priced around £24- £26 but finally found these ones for just £6 in Primark! What have you all been buying recently? :)
Nude pink extravaganza patent loafers- £65- Office
Heart shaped cubic zirconia necklace- WAS £10 NOW £5.50- Topshop

Born Pretty Store| Review

http://www.bornprettystore.com/Just recently I received this beautiful watch c/o Born Pretty Store , the site offers a wide range of products including jewellery, nail art, makeup, watches, clothing, hair accessories and phone cases. The best thing is the products are so very cheap! Some items are as low as just $0.99 and they ship worldwide, for free within 24 hours! When I was looking around the site I was particularly drawn to their selection of women’s watches, as we all know, buying beautiful watches can come at a high price, which is why I was so surprised when I came across the watches at Born Pretty Store, they are so beautiful and affordable! The wrist watch I received in particular was "Fashion Rhinestones Chain Bracelet Watch Alloy Band Quartz Wrist Watch", I really like this watch as I tend to prefer wearing a  bracelet watch , this one is totally my style. Not only is the face of the watch simplistic and beautiful, but I particularly love the rose gold colour, I am a fan of rose gold so it compliments the rest of the jewellery I wear. My favourite aspect of the watch is the bracelet, which is encrusted in little rhinestones, I am a sucker for sparkles! The product also arrived in the cutest little gift box, and is priced at a mere $6.99, the watch is perfect for all occasions, so beautiful! What do you think? If you would like to check out the rest of the Born Pretty Store product range you can find it HERE. Also not only is it free delivery worldwide, but you can also get 10% off using the code ELDAC10 :)

STYLE STEAL| Cameron Diaz

I absolutely love doing posts like these as I am constantly admiring the designer outfits which celebrities are spotted out wearing, so why not look for a cheaper alternative?! When I saw a news article on the movie premiere for "The Other Woman", which looks like such a great film, I will most certainly be going to see it when it is realised, I also could not help but notice Cameron Diaz ' outfit! Don't get me wrong, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton also looked beautiful for the event, but Cameron looked so gorgeous in a simple long sleeved leather dress designed by cult label The Row, at a huge price of £2075! She complimented her outfit with some nude stilettos by Manolo Blahnik and plum lipstick, I just loved this look as it was simple and so far removed from the typical cred carpet style of floor length chiffon dresses, yet she still looked glamorous which is why I have found some alternatives from ASOS, New Look and Topshop so we can all replicate her look on a budget! What do you think of her look? :)

2. Shift leather dress in leather- £95- ASOS

What's in my makeup bag?

Recently I have been considering some new content that I can put on my blog, and when I thought about some of the posts that I have never done before, I realised that I haven't done a "What's in my makeup bag?" post, so here it is! I must admit that the makeup bag below is for my daily makeup essentials, I do in fact have a much bigger bag which is filled with all sorts of bits and pieces which I use from time to time, so I thought it would be better to focus on the makeup I use regularly instead! I also have a mini collection of MAC lipsticks for all occasions, and other lip balms too. The only thing I would like to change about my makeup is the brushes I use, they are so old, I really need some new ones that are really good and also affordable, any help and suggestions guys? What's in your makeup bag? :)

My post hopes to give people a little bit of insight into what to consider when your dressing for your date night, it is one of the most stressful things right?! Hehe, anyway I have provided quite a few tips and stages to follow, I would absolutely love if you would maybe have a little peek at it.
