MY 21ST BIRTHDAY- PART TWO
From cake pops to photo booth props, polaroids to sweet jars, candles to pinatas and not to mention pass the parcel, gold cupcakes and helium balloons, my 21st Birthday party was my little project for months! I tried my absolute up most to make my party the girliest ever.
The venue was "The garden room" at Whitworth Hall just outside of Durham, a conservatory room which was the perfect place to hold my "Sparkling Afternoon Tea Party". I only invited 21 of my close family and friends, for afternoon tea, pinata wacking, adult pass the parcel, and a lot of Polaroid picture taking.
I went to the effort of finding pictures from each year of my life to create a photo line, found tea party themed photo props, added candles and sweet jars to my tables, created a scrap book for everyone to share and write comments about their polaroid snaps, and even made mini sweet jar party favours.
It was literally one of the best days of my life, and I felt so humbled to have such wonderful friends and family around who not only shared the day with me, but gave me the most beautiful cards and presents. I must mention, my beautiful two tiered genache cake (white chocolate & raspberry and lemon drizzle) was made by The Cake House in Spennymoor, and was literally the most wonderful cake I have ever tasted! My hair was done by Hair Haus Bishop Auckland and also my dress was from Topshop... back to one of my previous posts featuring my rose gold heels- I didn't even get to wear these in the end because once I put gel cushions in... they were so UN COMFY.
Please see a few snaps below!!

ROSE GOLD DREAM
Man who
doesn't just love rose gold? I must admit I can be a bit of an addict when it
comes to rose gold, whether it be shoes, hangers, jewellery or paper clips I'm
there. When I came across these OFFICE shoes I had to have them!
First
thoughts, the price. £60 is a lot to spend on shoes you may only wear a handful
of times, I am not one to usually waste money on shoes but on this occasion,
10% student discount and pay day stood in my favour!
I will
admit, although I am rarely spotted wearing anything other than heels, I have
never actually worn stiletto's due to the sheer fact I cannot walk in them- nor
can I trust myself to walk in them without breaking my neck. I was also
concerned by the fact these shoes have plastic multi straps, which again does
not fill me with hope that these shoes will provide me with any comfort
whatsoever. However, I bought these to wear at my 21st Birthday Party, which
thankfully is in a carpeted room, of course this limits the damage I can
do! I must admit that the straps are actually quite comfortable, they keep your
foot secure without digging in, and are quite stretchy and flexible to avoid rubbing.
Although
these are absolutely beautiful shoes, I wouldn't recommend them for
a night out...however if you're looking for a pretty pair of heels to wear for
a special occasion or a short period of time then they are definitely worth a
try! I will let you know how I get on...

BLOGMAS #19- OOTD CHRISTMAS PARTY
You have probably heard me banging on about Christmas party outfits and panicking about what to wear for my work party on Friday, so I thought I would share with you the outfit I finally wore!
I tried to keep my outfit quite simple... I think everyone panics a little over trying to get the balance between night out/ party wear, and something appropriate for being out with your work colleagues! If you're wondering what my friend was wearing- it was the khaki kimono swing dress, £45 from River Island. I thought she looked amazing! Such a subtle but very festive dress...

BLOGMAS #15- PARTY DRESSES
Ok we are now in full swing of the party season, and with only 10 days till Christmas you may have already had your work Christmas party, however mine is Friday and I found it so difficult to decide what to wear! On top of that there is also Christmas day, Boxing day and New Years Eve outfits to be thinking of...
I had a total panic when I started looking for my party outfit, as although we are going to a bar after the work Christmas party, I still feel as though your outfit should be 'work appropriate' as lets be honest, you are going to be around your boss for a lot of the night. Therefore finding that balance is very difficult. I have actually opted for the Floral crochet bodycon dress, £39, Topshop, as I felt that the simple shape and design was suitable for both occasions- please correct me if I'm wrong and save me the embarrassment...
So, to give you a little helping hand, I have compiled a few dresses that I spotted on the high street and online whilst I was searching for my dress, that may help you out this party season. I have included dresses for all budgets from a few different retailers including; Topshop, River Island, French Connection and ASOS.
I absolutely love all of these dresses and think there is something for everyone, whether you want feathers and glitter, body con and lace, or sequin and skater I hope you find your perfect dress! Some of my favourites include the Raven sequin and feather dress, £275, French Connection, Zig Zag glitter body con dress, £30, Topshop and Tinsel wrap A-line dress, £49, Topshop (I have this dress in silver and white to wear on Christmas Day!)

BLOGMAS #8- CHRISTMAS DAY OUTFIT
I don't know about you, but a new Christmassy outfit for Christmas Day is a must have... The more sparkles, the better!
My dress this year is a beautiful midi dress covered in sparkles, it comes in both green and white but I had to have white... Being the monochrome girl I am I just had to have it!
At £49 the tinsel wrap a line dress by Topshop is a little pricey for a 1 day outfit, however with your student discount it works out a little cheaper!
Although I am currently on the hunt for a Christmas party outfit for work, I wouldn't wear this, however time is slipping away and my party is next Friday!!! If you have any suggestions do let me know!

Wouldn't we all just love to be able to dress like a Kardashian? Yep, but hey ho we all can't be rich and famous! When I saw that Kourtney had been spotted at the Cosmopolitan birthday party this week wearing a Balmain jumpsuit, Kim wearing a Wolford simple black body con, and not to mention Kylies simplistic and stand out blush jumper... I knew I had to find some look- a -likes! Here are a few outfits which will help you to nail that Kardashian look without the hefty designer price tag...
