The amount of Models Own nail polish reviews I do is literally ridiculous! There are just so many variants of nail polishes to try, and with them being my favourite nail polish brand, I just wanted to share with you some of the amazing products they have on offer!

 

I got this nail polish at Christmas- one of the polishes from the colour chrome collection, which provides a liquid metal chrome effect. I really didn't know which shade to go for, so I also bought this polish in shade 'copper' which carries more rose gold hues, along with the pink polish which is featured in this post. At first I was so confused... when I opened the bottle the colour was simply silver with drops of pink in it, so make sure you shake the bottle well before use. When I started applying the polish I again found that the polish wasn't leaving much colour- however the colour actually develops into its pinky tones so bear that in mind!

 

I absolutely love the metallic effect this polish gives,  it also makes your nails feel super smooth and remains chip resistant for over a week. When applying you may wish to add 2-3 coats rather than 1 to intensify  the colour and effect, although this is absolutely down to personal preference- I went for 2.

ESSIE- A SPRINKLE IN PINK

I was debating for days over this nail varnish and whether I actually liked it or not, as to be honest, although I love both of these nail polishes, I don't think the way I have applied the glitter as a top coat is to my liking! I initially chose this combo 'a sprinkle in pink' as it works out cheaper than buying the two nail polishes separately, and I thought they would look lovely together! I am a sucker for pink and glitter polishes so this was perfect. The two nail polishes in this combo are 'figi' and 'a cut above' which you can actually buy seperately, I really like the combos that ESSIE offer, but I do think the selection is quite small, this is the only one which caught my eye!

I think rather than applying the glitter as a top coat, I will applying to just the tips or to one nail on each hand instead. Do you have any other ideas?! I am completely useless at nail art!

Weekly Wants....

Just another want want want post! This week the weather has just been so beautiful (still a bit chilly) but the sun has been out and it has really put me in the mood for spring/summer, as we all know, new season = new wardrobe so who isn't excited?! Just kidding I can't afford it. BUT, most of these pieces below are quite inexpensive and super ready for spring. One of my weekly wants is a tattoo choker necklace, I absolutely love these right now, they come in so many different colours and you can also get a simple or more fancy one, personally I like the simple plastic choker below, this one is from Topshop but I have also found lots online on ebay for as little as 99p! I also have a couple of nail art items, I absolutely love this 'sticky fingers' kit from models own, the kit comes in different colours and stickers but I have decided to order the lilac as the flower stickers are just so cute and summery! In my weekly wants post I also really really really want this fly charm necklace from Topshop (you can tell I am never out of that store) they always have such great jewellery for all different price ranges, this one is only £6.50 and it would be a perfect necklace to use for layering! Finally I also really love the new horoscope rings that Topshop have recently started selling, they come in all different sizes and colours which are unique to your zodiac sign, mine are for Cancer (July). What is currently on your wish list?
