NEW HAIR DAY

I'll be honest, there isn't really much point to this post apart from me wanting to show off my new do- not attention seeking at all. But big thanks to Hair Haus in Bishop Auckland!

I am so bad when it comes to getting my hair cut, I literally went 3 years before getting it cut last year, and then until today its been almost a year. Surely I could be prosecuted for such behaviour. I promise I will start going more often! Although when it comes to my fringe i'm in the salon at least every 6 weeks- why are they just so hard to maintain?!

My next step is definitely going to be an ombre, but I have no idea when I will actually get round to it! Any other hair suggestions? Should I take the step?

Also on a random note- I am currently planning my trip to NYC in November. I would love to know if you guys have any restaurant/ bar recommendations, or know any really cool places to visit. Let me know in the comments!

RIPPED HEM JEANS

MOTO Raw Hem Indigo Jamie Jeans- £40- Topshop
This trend is literally here, there, and everywhere at the moment. Whether it's a raw hem, let hem, or step hem, jeans are having a shabby chic makeover. Being only 5"3 AND 1/2, i'm not a fan of anything thats going to add extra length to my jeans- they only just fit my leg length as it is. However I do absolutely love step and let hems, which I am sure would look really flattering on somebody with longer legs!
Just a heads up, these jeans are not only bang on trend, but they are also super comfy. Topshop jeans tend to be stretchy, but this pair even more so. The only thing i'm not happy with is the price, and if I didn't get student discount, I wouldn't bother paying £40 for jeans. Actually what am I saying... with a Topshop addiction like mine of course I would splash out.

What do you think?

TOPSHOP BODIES

Crotchet body suit, £24, Topshop
I am in loveeee with bodies right now.... ok that sounded a bit creepy, but you know what I mean.
I find they are so versatile, I tend to wear this one underneath high waisted jeans for a summery day time look, but I would also wear a fancier lace body for a night out. The only thing is, they are extremely restrictive when you need the loo, they make you feel like a baby preparing to get their nappy changed whenever you undo those press studs, and your boyfriend will at some point have questioned why you are wearing a "swim suit".
I particularly love this one, as although it is simple, the crotchet sides add a little extra detail and it is super comfy as it's material is a combination of cotton and latex. Also remember girlies, this will 100% enhance your figure, imagine it as an on trend pair of fat pants.

OOTD: CHRISTENING

Cross back slip dress, £29, Topshop
Just a quick OOTD post to feature the absolutely lovely and versatile slip dress I wore for my nephews christening on Saturday. Ok so I didn't actually get a full length shot of this dress on the day, which is helpful, but hey ho i recycled this outfit from my boyfriends graduation back in July so there you go!
I don't know about you, but as soon as I was invited to the christening panic set in, what on earth are you supposed to wear? It was a family occasion, so nothing too revealing, its a special occasion yet nothing too fancy would be appropriate, and also a religious celebration so nothing OTT. great.
I don't think Topshop still sell the dress in this colour, but they do have ones similar. I like to think of it as a long cami... it didn't really look right on me with it having such a straight up and down shape, i tend to prefer something a bit more fitted. So, i found an old chiffon belt from a playsuit i wore 9534594754 years ago and used it to sinch in the waist of my dress, sorted!
Bad news, i clicked the dress in 3 places, HELP?!

MY 21ST BIRTHDAY- PART FOUR

The final part to my birthday was celebrated with my dad, we had a lovely day out to Harrogate, followed by a barbecue, cannot go wrong!!

I was treated to lunch at The Bluebell just outside of Harrogate, where I had the most amazing fish & chips. Followed by treats at Betty's Tea Room, including pink lemonade and macaroons. I had never been to Harrogate, but the weather was so lovely and I did a good bit of shopping too.

Once I got home I was treated to my birthday presents including the matching pandora ring to my bangle, and a pearl Tiffany bracelet. My aunt and uncle also gave me a Marc De Champagne truffle and champagne set... beware they are beyond addictive. My dad's girlfriend also treated me to a wonderful homemade birthday cake, yummmmm.

Have you had a birthday recently? What are you planning? Leave me a comment below! :)

MY 21ST BIRTHDAY- PART THREE

Soooo part three, (told you I celebrated my birthday in quite a few ways!). Friday 15th July was my actual birthday, unfortunately for me it was a Friday and everyone was working! However I did get to go to York for the day, lucky me!

As well as a bit of retail therapy, where I didn't actually manage to find anything I wanted, and when I did find something it wasn't in my size... I also had the most lovely lunch. We went to Bills, I had one of their "superfood salads"- check me out being all healthy on my bday! Combined with their delicious pink lemonade- try it, and for desert, their amazing chocolate brownie!

After that the weather faired up a little, so we took a walk through the park and had ice cream before getting the train home. My mum had put together a little birthday tea, with an improvised cake from my birthday party! I am so thankful for all of my presents, including a Kate Spade hand bag, Pandora bangle, Spa break courtesy of my best friend, and lots of Topshop vouchers. I was spoilt rotten!

See a few piccy's below! :)

MY 21ST BIRTHDAY- PART TWO

From cake pops to photo booth props, polaroids to sweet jars, candles to pinatas and not to mention pass the parcel, gold cupcakes and helium balloons, my 21st Birthday party  was my little project for months! I tried my absolute up most to make my party the girliest ever.

The venue was "The garden room" at Whitworth Hall just outside of Durham, a conservatory room which was the perfect place to hold my "Sparkling Afternoon Tea Party". I only invited 21 of my close family and friends, for afternoon tea, pinata wacking, adult pass the parcel, and a lot of Polaroid picture taking.

I went to the effort of finding pictures from each year of my life to create a photo line, found tea party themed photo props, added candles and sweet jars to my tables, created a scrap book for everyone to share and write comments about their polaroid snaps, and even made mini sweet jar party favours.

It was literally one of the best days of my life, and I felt so humbled to have such wonderful friends and family around who not only shared the day with me, but gave me the most beautiful cards and presents. I must mention, my beautiful two tiered genache cake (white chocolate & raspberry and lemon drizzle) was made by The Cake House in Spennymoor, and was literally the most wonderful cake I have ever tasted! My hair was done by Hair Haus Bishop Auckland and also my dress was from Topshop... back to one of my previous posts featuring my rose gold heels- I didn't even get to wear these in the end because once I put gel cushions in... they were so UN COMFY.

Please see a few snaps below!!
