LOOK OF THE DAY| Rihanna

How does Rihanna manage to look absolutely amazing in whatever she wears? When Rihanna appeared on Good Morning America recently, she was spotted wearing vintage Chanel; rare, extortionate, and highly sought after, so it's not surprising Rihanna was wearing it! This outfit is from the Spring/ Summer 1993 collection and is absolutely stunning, I am such a fan of Rihanna and honestly I adore this vintage look. It is quite probable that this outfit was over £2,000 judging by similar items in the Chanel online range, but oh my gosh she looked amazing, she teamed the look with a white tee, grey pointed toe strappy sandals, numerous rings, red lipstick and bang on trend chain necklace. However, when I came to look for an alternative outfit for this post it was difficult to find  a skirt suit as they have fallen out of fashion in recent years. However, you can still replicate this look with an orange skirt, white tee and chain necklace with the alternatives I have found below. I personally am short of money at the moment, so I have provided a range of alternative skirts which come with a budget, high-street and designer price tag. What do you think of this look? :)

CHARMED IVY| Affordable Jewellery

A couple of weeks ago I came across a blogger who shared a post about her order with online jewellery boutique Charmed Ivy. Anyway, she had bought the "dainty heart bangle" which I instantly fell in love with, no matter what the price I was going to buy one! When I visited the website I was so surprised, literally nearly everything is under £5, and this bangle only set me back £2.50, and FREE DELIVERY. This looked too good to be true, but honestly the range of products they have is just beautiful, my bracelet even came in a little bag and with a lovely note. Seriously, check their website you can't go wrong! unbelievably they also have a sale on at the moment with items as low at 80p! I have included below a few other bits and pieces from Charmed Ivy which I think are simply beautiful, there are many other lovely things on their website too, what do you think? :)

The Grammy Awards 2014| Best Dressed!

Without a doubt, the hottest trend on red carpet was metallics, so many celebrities were spotted wearing gold, silver and other metallic, some of which being Taylor Swift, Rita Ora, Ciara and Amber Rose. Although with these posts I usually tend to share with you my opinion of the best and worst dressed celebrities, but honestly, this time I literally couldn't find enough "bad" outfits for this post! I also thought that I would focus more on the overall popular trend at the Grammy's, which as I had said was metallic, everyone looked simply amazing! I have included below my favourite outfits, from some of my favourite celebrities. Who do you think had the best outfit? :)
- Beyoncé- Stunning white fishtail gown with nude panels, this dress particularly flattered her curvaceous figure.
- Chrissy Teigan- Glamorous plunging gold sequined Johanna Johnson gown.
- Ciara- Despite being pregnant, Ciara chose a beautiful long sleeved Emilio Pucci bronze metallic dress months before the awards! One of my favourite outfits of the night.
- Rita Ora- Another celeb opting for the long sleeved dress! She teamed her Lanvin knee- length dress with matching heels.
- Taylor Swift- Her Gucci heavy metallic floor- length dress dazzled on the red carpet, she looked amazing.

- Amber Rose- Her dramatic pale gold gown was perfect for the awards ceremony and particularly flattered her gorgeous skin tone.
- Anna Kendrick- Pale Azarro gown with a heavily embellished lace up bodice, the colour was such a complimentary to her ginger hair and pale skin tone.
- Kasey Musgraves- Kasey's floaty and filly pastel Armani Prive gown looked princess like on the red carpet, the pastel colour is also bang on trend, love this one!
- Katy Perry- She certainly dressed for the Grammy's with her music note printed Valentino gown, this was only one of the many outfits she wore at the awards.
- Iggy Azalea- This ethereal embroidered white sleeveless dress by Elie Sabb had amazing embellishment, she looked so beautiful!

OOTD: Girly Night Out!

So as it was my last weekend at home before I go back to university in Leeds next weekend, I had a celebratory night out with a couple of my best friends! My friend is at university in Durham and so it was super convenient for going out as we could stay in her halls. I had such an amazing night, however I was still drunk the next day until the afternoon due to a awful mix of Vodka, wine, jager and Moet champagne! Ew, let me stop before I vom. Anyway, from the photo's below you can see my besties looked amazing, and I decided to wear a velvet printed pencil skirt, cream chiffon cami, platform heels and a statement necklace. I decided to keep my outfit to simple monochrome colours, and then added a bit of sparkle with my necklace and added a dash of colour with Ruby Woo Mac lipstick, which is my new absolute fave lipstick! What do you think? :)
Cream V-neck chiffon cami- £18- Topshop
Printed velvet pencil skirt- £22- Miss Selfridge
Statement crystal necklace- £5.99- New Look
Black court platform heels- £35- BANK

Valentine's gift ideas for men!

Somewhere down the line men have changed. Whether it's for better or for worse is yet to be decided but it seems that the gruff voiced, trillby wearing gentlemen of days gone by have been replaced with a more femenine ideal; replacing the rich scent of cigar tainted breath for a bouquet of fake tan and sexist undertones for an extensive knowledge of soap opera, hair products and house music.

Despite what many may think, the modern male has grown ever more complicated, with the obvious physical femenine connotations aside it has become more apparent that mankind may be looking for more than a card and 10 minutes of nocturnal enjoyment for Valentine's Day. Yes, the day of love should be about both halves of the relationship, gone are the days of ladies being showered in soft toys and whisked away to Paris... it's time to give something back.

With the day of love just around the corner, it only leaves us a small amount of time to get fully in tune with our loved ones emotions but with them being such complicated creatures in this day in age, it may be too little too late. Fear not, I have devised a list of the best Valentine's gifts for the modern man, guaranteed to please beyond all expectations, especially when the current expectations are a card from Poundland...

Control their Facial Hair

You may spend 75% of the time shouting in your man's face so you may as well make it as attractive as possible with a grooming kit. Thanks to Movember, men have finally built the courage to grow facial hair. Whether it's a cheeky moustache or a full beard, many men have taken the joke too far so it's time they recieved a subtle hint or at least shaved the festering spaghetti hoops from there ever growing face forest.

Accessorise

They say every man needs a good watch but a good watch far exceeds the budget that the standard Valentine's gift allows, but there are other ways to liven up a man's attire that aren't a Rolex.

Believe it or not, neck ties, pocket squares and genuinely good designer socks are sort after commodities in modern men's fashion, and like many things, they are the sort of items that are left for others to take the initiative and buy rather than purchase themselves.

Treat their Feet

You can judge the quality of a man by the quality of his shoes, so make sure your man isn't sporting a pair of battered Shoezone loafers from circa 97'.

The timeless look of Brogues is a great way to guarantee your other halves Crocs don't come out to play ever again, leaving him with a look that is eternally aceptable.

Entertain their Inner Child

As much as we may love sipping good wine, eating great food and looking deep into the eyes of our loved ones from one side of the dining table in a romantically lit resteraunt; the reality is that most men's minds will be wandering towards sports, other women or what's happening after dinner.

Thanks to Red Letter Days, you can treat a man to a unique experience that they will genuinely appreciate, such as skydiving, hot air ballooning or a track day, leaving their minds focussed purely on the task in hand and their deep set love for you after an amazing day out.

Whether you're subtlety trying to improve their appearance or treating them to a once in a life time experience, it's great to treat your man on Valentine's Day, and who knows you may benefit too!

You can find all of these gift ideas and more at http://www.atoo.co.uk/ ! :)

GUESTPOST #2: The Savvy Styler: Wardrobe Staples| From Winter to Spring

Hello everyone! I am Katie from The Savvy Styler. I am so delighted that Eleanor has asked me to guest post on her lovely blog! This is my first ever guest post as I am still quite new to the whole blogging thing, so I hope you like it! My blog focuses on inexpensive and unique fashion style, so I thought today I would show you all how I think you can transform your winter wardrobe staples into wearable spring pieces.
As the weather warms up, a lot of us find ourselves hitting the shops to find new pieces and items to add to our spring wardrobes. We put out winter clothes away and replace them with shiny and new clothes and accessories. However, for those of us who are still short of cash after the party season this is not always feasible. So today for my guest post I thought I would show you all how to transform your winter staples into spring staples and give your old pieces a new lease of life! Hopefully, a lot of the pieces shown below will already be residing in your wardrobes and you won't have to go on a shopping spree to find them! My aim here is to give you some outfit inspiration without breaking the bank by working with what you already have!
Wardrobe Staples

The denim shirt
Nearly everone has a denim shirt! I have two, one is about five years old that I still turn to when I am stuck for something to wear. In the winter I used to layer up denim shirts over dresses, skirts, light jumpers and jeans. So basicaly everything in my wardrobe! As the weather warm up I find that the staple denim shirt is perfect for layering over your spring outfits, from pastel dresses, cute skirts and even your skinny jeans depending if you are brave enough to tackle denim on denim.
Ankle Boots
This winter everyone seemed to jump on the ankle boot bandwagon, so why not get the best value ot of your past purchases! Ankle boots in the spring will look perfect with your light dresses and skirts. They look just as good with the legs out as they did last winter with your woolly tights! I love teaming my summer dresses with ankle boots and a denim jacket or shirt. It is simply as effortless outfit that can be put together quite quickly!
The Statement Necklace
Over the winter I wore a lot of statement necklaces, the majority of which were bought in Penneys/ Primark. Like a lot of pieces I am talking about today I think they are a staple for every wardrobe and for every season. Come spring time they will look great with your light pastel jumpers and collared blouses. I think they complete an outfit and I am sure you have tons stashed away in your jewellery box that you have forgotten about. Now is the time to spring clean and resurrect all your old pieces!
Coloured Blazer
This spring I will be pulling out my colour block blazers from last year! I have bright pink and turquoise ones; you should have a root around in your wardrobes and see what you find! They look great over light dresses or even your favourite little black dress. For a more casual day look, team them with some skinny jeans.
Dark/ Black Skinny Jeans
Dark or black skinny jeans are a wardrobe staple for all seasons. They go with everything from your winter woollies to denim jackets and colour block blazers and tops. Everone owns a pair, just think of a new way to wear them in the spring to add a light, more femenine appeal! Maybe add a floral top, cream blouse or a patel cropped jumper, the combinations are endless!
Cropped Jumper
I think everyone should have a cropped jumper in their wardrobe! I know I got a lot of wear out of them in the autumn/winter and I definitlet want to keep wearing them into the warmer months. Mine are mostly in dark colours, so I think I will be making a little investment into a nice pastel blue or mint cropped jumper. I will be throwing them over my skater dresses and skirts and high waist skinny jeans.
Cream blouse
A cream blouse is another all year wardrobe essential, it will practically go with everything in your wardrobe. From tucking it into skater skirts or layering over dresses and jeans. They are a perfect addition to any wardrobe and I am sure a lot of you already have one.
Denim Jacket
Like the denim shirt, I think that the denim jacket is also a wardrobe staple that will bring you from winter to spring. At the moment it might still be a bit cold to go out with just a denim shirt thrown over your outfit. But this is where the jacket comes in, thrown over your dresses and skirts it looks perfect!
I really hope you liked this post and that I have given you some inspiration to do a little spring clean and find all your wardrobe forgotten favourites. Have you got any other wardrobe staples that I might have missed out on? Thanks again to Eleanor for letting me guest post on her amazing blog!

National Television Awards 2014- Best & worst dressed

I absolutely love doing these posts! There is nothing better than watching awards ceremonies to catch a glimpse of what the fashion is like on the red carpet... and as per usual, some celebs get it absolutely perfect, and some, well... far from it. I was looking forward to the annual NTA's because I am definitely a self confessed obsessive soap watcher, I love to see which soap star won what. Some celebritites looked absolutely amazing at the awards, such as Eastenders' Jacqueline Jossa, Corries Georgie- May Foote, Michelle Keegan, Amy Willerton and Abbey Clancey to name a few! However, some celebs just didn't get it right, such as Kelly Brook, who decided to go braless...in a sheer dress, Eastender's Rachel Wilde, who had a dress malfunction and flashes her nickers and Corries Debbie Rush, who was spilling out of her dress. I have included all outfits below, who was your favourite dressed celeb? What do you think of my best and worst categories? :)
Jacqueline Jossa- Semi- sheer nude gown with floral embellishments, accompanied by white peep-toe heels, by far the best dressed person of the night!
Michelle Keegan- Beautiful mint fishtail gown, one of my favourite dresses, Michelle always looks amazing!
Fearne Cotton- Cream satin floor length dress with embellished cape detail, an unusual dress which is exactly Fearne's style, I love this dress.
Georgia- May Foote- An amazinggg ivory heavily embellished floor length gown
Naomi Campbell- The super model wore a dazzling silver snake skin long sleeved dress, which oozed super model glamour.
Jennifer Metcalfe- Her heavily laced black dress clung to her curves in all the right places!
Abbey Clancey- Her dress was much sought after, the thigh split red gown looked simply gorgeous!
Caroline Flack- This rather unusual and quite informal outfit still looked red carpet ready as Caroline accompanied her cream short and blazer suit with a beautiful clutch and stunning silver strappy heels.
Amy Willerton- I particularly loved Amy's dress, it's so cute and girly and the embellishments on this champagne dress look amazing!
Julia Hesmondhalgh- This corrie actress looked amazing in her dress, I absolutely love how lovely it looked on her, it flatters her figure and is perfect for the awards, as what would be a plain black dress sparkled with glitter embellishment!
- Kelly Brook- Perhaps Kelly should have considered the paparazzi's camera glare before going braless in this dress, everything, unfortunately is on show.
- Debbie Rush- In displaying her assets in this dress, she has simply not realised that she is practically falling out of this dress...
- Rachel Wilde- Typical wardrobe malfunction... nickers on show!
- Sheridan Smith- Need I say anything? This full sequined dress is just, well, awful.
- Paula Lane- This dress does not look great. The shade of red she is wearing does not compliment her skin colour... or her hair colour.

LOOK OF THE DAY: Alesha Dixon

When browsing Daily Mail website (an everyday occurrence) I was flicking through all the stories of what celebs have been spotted wearing as usual, and came across Alesha Dixon's outfit which really caught my eye, she looks beautiful! She has been spotted at the Britain's Got Talent auditions in Cardiff with Amanda Holden, and is seen wearing one of the seasons most sought after coats, a pink overcoat from luxurious label Whistles which is also a key colour for the spring season, it is just so versatile! Alesha has accompanied her coat with blush coloured trousers, plain white top, snake skin heels, leopard print scarf and chain necklace & bracelet. This post also relates to my other post of the day about these style of coats which can be found below. I have also included in this post where you can purchase Alesha Dixon's actual coat, and what alternatives are out there on the high- street, and on a budget! :)

NEW SEASON TREND: Pastel Coats

I'm not sure about you, but at first I wasn't too keen on this old fashioned style of coat, i'm not keen on them having a come back! However, now I have seen them all over the high street, I am actually starting to like them! These coats will be so cute for the Spring season as the coats are not really thick enough to keep you warm in the winter, but are just right for warmer weather. Most of the boyfriend style coats I have found come in pastel colours, which is also a key trend for this season, and they also come in different styles and sizes. Below I have included some of the coats which have particularly caught my eye, from high street stores including Miss Selfridge, River Island, Topshop and Boohoo. Which is your favourite? Valentine's Date Outifts!

Just a few days before the 14th we ladies realise that due to pre-date anxiety, we forgot to ask ourselves a very important question: What on Earth am I going to wear? So let us start a little earlier in our planning this year. Not only do we need to plan an outfit that flatters our shape and achieves a Goddess like presence (we hope), we need to know exactly where we are going so we can dress appropriately. But don't fret! Just borrow these hand-picked outfit ideas that will suit a variety of date nights!

Dinner Date

(see image 1.) The embellished peplum dress in red

The dinner date is probably the most popular 'date night' for Valentiners, so how we make sure we are dressed well for the occasion? Dinner dates involve consuming a lot of bloat inducing food and drink, so we need to find an outfit that will tone the much feared bloated look down.

This type of dress is absolutely perfect for a dinner date as the embellishment it in exactly the right place for someone who is sitting down all night. the encrusted gems are excellent for bringing the focus up to the collar bones and face. The peplum shape is also fantastic for showing off your waist, but hiding a bloated stomach.

Just a few drinks

(See image 2.) Velvet mini dress in black

You couldn't get a sexier dress than this velvet mini dress for a date! It's a little too sexy for a dinner date, but just right for bar hopping with your sweetheart. The velvet material has a very romantic appeal while the V-neck has cleavage will give you a lot of sex appeal. Teaming this look with a black leather jacket to keep the cold out is also a great way to work this look.

Dancing

(see image 3.) Embellished Cocktail Dress in Wine

A cocktail dress is a super-flattering way to give your body shapely curves. the flowing material is excellent for dancing and the deep wine colour is perfect for romantic dates. Make sure to team this look with some sensible shoes for dancing though!

Amusement Park

(see image 4.) Shiny Leggings & A Floaty Crop top

Having fun is what the amusement park is all about, so dressing in fun and flirty clothing will go down a treat for this kind of date. The shiny pink leggings will keep the focus on your legs and the simple, romantic style crop top is guaranteed to make you the ultimate valentines date. It'll be cold outside, so team this look with a flashy sequin blazer.

Blue Monday Fashion!

So according to everyone, Monday 20th January 2014 is 'Blue Monday' is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year. We have all heard of "the January blues" which is understandable- the festivities of Christmas are over, we are all broke after Christmas spending, and well the weather is simply freezing. However, 'Blue Monday' I must say I am not a great believer of, as I have felt completely happy and content! But hey, lets embrace it, I have complied a small selection of some blue bits and bobs. I personally am not a huge fan of wearing the colour blue, i'm more of a pink sort of girl but I love these pieces! What do you think of blue Monday? :)
1. V neck cutaaway crop top- £36- Topshop
2. Velvet bunny ear scrunchie- £4- Topshop
3. Satin layer cami- £20- Topshop
4. Nails in celestial- £5- Topshop
5. Crepe seam flippy dress- £46- Topshop
6. Plated holdall bag- £40- Topshop
7. Skater dress by TFNC- £38- Topshop
8. Knitted fluffy crop jumper- £34- Topshop
9. LIKEWISE glitter sandals- £20- Topshop

Jeans to flatter your figure!

Jeans are by far one of the most difficult item of clothing you can possibly buy, even though one pair of jeans can make you look absolutely amazing, another can make you look simply awful. What every girl out there must do, is to keep trying each different style of jeans, until you finally find the style which flatters your shape and size completely. Lets face it, none of us like to squeeze ourselves into a pair of jeans which do not flatter us, it just doesn't make you feel great if you don't look good too! Below is my guide to finding the right style of jeans to flatter your shape. Also, don't assume that one style of jeans fits all, you could find yourself fitting into a couple of these categories like me, although I am petite as I am 5"3 (desperately wishing I had long legs) and have a pear shape, so I tend to wear high waisted skinny jeans, so that my legs appear longer, and tend to shy away from boyfriend cut jeans and flares that shorten the legs and end up making the legs look bigger! Learn which style suits you and you can stick with it for ages as those jeans will always suit you! I hope this guide helps a little, what style do you tend to go for? :)

Pear

MiH Jeans skinny Marrakesh flared jean in Lorca- £88 ASOS
If your a pear shape, your bum and hips may be curvy, but pick a high waistband to draw a tiny waist. The flare style also slims your silhouette by distracting the eyes from your thighs and balances you out at the bottom.

Petite

Warehouse boot-cut jeans- £45- ASOS
This is when you steer clear of flares, which can dwarf a smaller frame. Stick to a high rise waist which elongates the legs and the boot- cut style adds shape.

Apple

River Island black LANA skinny jean- £25- ASOS
If your an Apple shape, you tend to carry weight around the middle, yet have slim legs, this is where a high rise waist band will again be beneficial in disguising that tummy! A stretchy skinny jean material will draw attention to your slim legs!

Boyish

MOTO supersoft boyfriend jeans- £42- Topshop
A boyfriend style jeans will be particularly flattering for those with a boyish frame. If you lack curves and are quite slim, you can pretty much carry off any style of jean, however, boyfriend jeans will add more shape, and the roll up bottom cuff will show off your slim ankles!

Long Legs

Only super low rise skinny jean- £19.50- ASOS
If you have long legs, you are truly blessed, although you may not have much of a waist as your tall and slim, pick a jean which is straight to showcase your legs. Step away from high rise jeans which lengthen the legs and shorten the torso, and opt for a mid to low rise jean which will balance you out. Shaded denim is also particularly good to experiment with as it will add shape to skinny legs!

Shopping Spree: Picks of the high-street!

I'm pretty sure that when every girl goes on a shopping spree, they follow a routine. They probably spend hours browsing every one of their favourite stores, then repeat this process to try on bits and bobs which caught their eye, and finally repeat again to actually make some purchases. If not, they return empty handed, mulling over in their mind the pro's and con's of buying the items before returning a week later to finally make a purchase! This certainly is me. Yesterday I went shopping and experienced this, I am yet to decide what I actually want, the only thing stopping me is the thought of returning to university with very little of my student loan in tact... hmm. Anyway, below are my picks of the high street, those little things which caught my eye. Question is, to buy, or not to buy... help! Any suggestions of what I should purchase? Leave me a comment below! :)
1. LANA Platform sandals- £55- Topshop
2. Chunky chain multi-row necklace- £15- Topshop
3. Pandora moments charm bangle- £55- Pandora
4. Lilac straight neck strappy cami- £18- Topshop
5. Leather fold over clutch bag- £38- Topshop
6. Nails in imagination- £6- Topshop

Hey everyone! I'm Stef from Scottishstefsnails.blogspot.com and I am really excited that Eleanor has asked me to guest post on her awesome blog. Thank you so much Eleanor! I have not done a proper guest post yet so I'm over the moon that you asked me and really appreciate it.

I thought I would show you a really pretty nail design which is really simple to create. After applying a base coat I painted my nails with Nails Inc's Black Taxi polish which is my all time favourite black polish. It's super shiny, dries really quickly and sometimes you can get away with just applying one coat. Once my nails had dried off a bit I got my amazing Rimmel Space Dust polish in Shooting Star and used a dotting tool to create pretty silver sparkly polka dots all over my nails. My top tip for doing this is to make sure you have enough fresh polish on the dotting tool for each dot as if you keep using the polish that has been exposed to the air it goes thick and does not create pretty polka dots.

I really love the combination of these polishes, especially the Rimmel Polish as it has a great formula which almost has a metallic full coverage base to it but dries looking like a perfect full coverage glitter. This is a textured polish which makes the polka dots look really cool in contrast to the sleek and shiny black polish. If you want your design to last longer you could always apply a top coat. However, that would take away from the contrasting nail polish textures.

If you are looking for a new polish to try I would defintley recommend trying Rimmel's Space Dust Polish in Shooting Star. You could team it up with your favourite black polish to try out a polka dot design.

This is such a pretty and easy design to create. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments section!

The Golden Globe Awards 2014: Best & worst dressed

The 71st Golden globe awards was held at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Sunday evening, and as ever, the hype around the awards ceremony was not just surrounding the awards given to winners for film and television excellence, it was also for the style choices of the stars on the red carpet. As always there are best and worst dressed, and while most A-list celebs choose to enlist the help of a personal stylist, however it can all go wrong! Below I have chosen some of the stars whom I think looked absolutely stunning, and some others who despite their efforts, did not have the best outfits, some being quite unusual in fact. In your opinion, who was the best dressed and the worst? :)
(Left to right)
- Mila Kunis- Sequined silver and grey Gucci gown
- Sarah Paulso- Plunge, floaty embellished gown
- Zooey Deschanel- Oscar De La Renta pearl embellished gown and matching heels
- Kate Beckinsale- Zuhair Murad fishtail gown
- Rocsi Diaz- Baby pink floor length embellished gown
- Sofia Vergara- Prom style black strapless dress with very full skirt
- Emilia Clarke- Glittered silver gown
- Kate Mara- Old Hollywood style, silver ruffle front satin gown
- Margot Robbie- Plunging Gucci white gown
- Lauren Parsekian- Plunging v front, split leg, ruffle front, red gown
- Paula Patton- Huge side ruffle, white gown, is it just me or is this dress just too in your face...
- Julia Roberts- Dolce & Gabbana ensemble- The dress would be beautiful and elegant had the shirt piece not been worn!
- Jennifer Lawrence- Poufy white Dior gown with stark black straps. What is the need for the extra hip strap, one would have been appropriate but now this dress seems close to looking unflattering.
- Emma Watson- Open back Dior ensemble & black leggings. Again, does this dress not look like there is something missing? It looks like a red hospital gown! The leggings do nothing for this outfit, not a good choice for Emma!
- Lena Dunham- Zac Posen dress, not only is this dress highly unflattering and wrong for Lena's body shape, the yellow also clashes with her pale skin colour and red lipstick.
- Berenice Bejo- Bold red Giambattista Valli gown, the blazer style collar and hip ruffles is just so unflattering and a very strange choice for Berenice!
- Jemima Kirke- This bohemian style gown is certainly not red carpet ready, although her hair and makeup is pretty, this dress is awful!
- Kaley Cuoco- Floral Rani Zakhem gown, once again is it just me or is this pattern more suited to a pair of curtains or a carpet?
- Sandra Bulock- There is really not a lot I can say about this dress, the colour blocks, material and shape is simply disgusting...
- Zoe Saldana- Prabal Gurung- This dress is simply a mess! Pink shoulder straps, sheer A- Symmetric hem and scattered embellishments are not a good mix here!

TREND: Cut- Out Boots

A trend that as been around for the autumn/ winter season is cut out boots! They are all over the high street and are a unique twist on winter boots, the great thing is that these boots could even be worn in most months of the year, over most seasons as you can either wear them with frilly socks, barefoot or with tights. These boots come in many different styles, buckles, zips, heels and varying cut outs. I found these boots recently in store ARK in Leeds, at the time they were offering 25% off on all online orders which meant I got an amazing discount off these £44.99 boots! I absolutely love them, they are just soooo comfy and because although they have a heel, the heel is rubber and therefore is not too harsh on your feet, you can wear them all day long and not be in complete pain! I also absolutely love ARK clothing, it is a little different than other high street stores but they sell some amazing things, there however aren't too many stores in the UK but if there's one near you I highly suggest you check it out, or visit their online store!  Have you got a pair of cut out boots? What do you think of this trend? :)

REVIEW: Models Own- Magenta Divine

As many of you will know, I am such a girly person, honestly anything pink and sparkly I love! Which is why this particular nail varnish caught my eye. I got the glittery pink 'magenta divine' models own nail varnish in a set which also included a, gold, silver and purple glitter nail polish, however there are other glittery colour shades in the models own glitter range. I love this varnish because although the glitter is not really thick and sequined, it works very well for adding a touch of sparkle to a colour base coat, and as I have done, it works well applied 2-3 times for a solid glitter effect. The whole range is priced at £5 a bottle, as are most models own nail varnishes which although there are many cheaper nail varnish brands out there such as Barry M, I think that these nail varnishes are totally worth it! These nail varnishes are available online at www.modelsown.com or in larger boots stores. What's your favourite nail varnish brand? :)

TREND: PVC & PU- Fashion style or faux pas?

Another notable trend on the high street at the moment is PVC, PU and Pantent leather, "vinyl clothing". Although this type of clothing was mostly recognised as a trend in the 60's, 70's and even the 90's, yet again high street stores and designers are revamping the trend! Question is, real fashion or a faux pas? Personally I quite like PU clothing such as wet look leggings, and clothing that incorporates a slight hint of PU, for example panels of PU on skirts, tops and trousers. I also love the PVC trend, however, I realise it's not for everyone... PVC trousers may be nice but wearing plastic trousers cannot be comfy! Dresses and skirts are an alternative but when it comes for PVC tops and coats is this now a fashion mistake? Patent leather may be a different material than the plastic PVC, but does it really look any different? I have included some of my finds below which I quite like, but I would love to know what you all think of this trend, as many fashion bloggers are split in their opinions on this trend! Do you have any PVC/ PU clothing? Do you like the trend, or do you think it should have been left in the 90's? Leave me a comment below! :)

100TH POST!!!! NEW! Revlon Parfumerie: Scented Nail Enamel

While writing this post I just realised it's my 100th blog post! Oh my gosh I cant even believe I've even got this far! So yeah, just a soppy little thank you to all my readers, I didn't even think I would get more than 10 followers never mind over 300! :)

Anyway...I just know that a lot of nail bloggers out there are going to absolutely love this product! When I saw this I thought it was such an amazing idea, Revlon is releasing nail varnish.. that doesn't stink... in fact it is perfume scented. The nail varnish works by once its applied, and dried, the fragrance is revealed, the fragrance lasts all day and can be extended by applying a base coat first. The nail polish is available in 24 shades, some of my favourites include tropical rain, wild violets, African tea rose, china flower (pictured), Bordeaux, apricot nectar and ginger melon. I cannot wait to buy myself one of these nail varnishes and try it for myself, it is such a breakthrough in nail varnish! What do you think of this? Have you tried it? Will you try it? :)

Today's buys!

I was soooo busy with exams before Christmas, and since Christmas I haven't really had the chance to go shopping, so today was the first time I had been in so long! I was is desperate need of some new makeup because I was literally scraping the bottles, and once I had revamped my makeup bag, I thought I would have a little look at the sales! Although some stores such as ASDA, TESCO & Savers have now removed the Rimmel London offer of "everything under £5" (the foundation I use is £7.99) I managed to find that Boots surprisingly were still using this offer! Although I usually really dislike sales shopping as I can never find anything I actually want, I have found the best sale is at Topshop, there are so many bargains in there, and it isn't all crap nobody wants! aha, I managed to pick up a jumper and a top from there, and found Dorothy Perkins had a particularly good jewellery sale, so you should definitely have a look! Trend: Fluffy Jumpers

At the moment there are too many hit and miss trends on the high street, whether you love them or hate them they are everywhere! One of which is particularly popular at the moment is the "fluffy jumper" trend. Yes, everyone loves a cosy knitted jumper through the winter, but some of the "fluffy" jumpers I have spotted recently have been, well, over the top. I have managed to find a huge selection of these jumpers in Topshop, and have included my small pick of them below. I must admit, when I first saw this trend I literally hated it! However now I have been browsing for them and even tried a couple on, I must admit I absolutely love some of them (marked with a love heart). These jumpers also incorporate another upcoming trend, pastels. I am such a fan of pastel colours, baby blues and pinks are my fave! What do you think of this trend? Love or hate it? :)
